Good Lord! Skin & Bones....
We never had size "0" when I was growing up....I mean...a size 6 meant you were painfully thin, back then...! All I can say is "OH DEAR"....!

I found your comment about George Clooney very interesting---And I must say, I did not feel the same way. For me---he was Matt King....and "George" was not there in the way you describe, for me. It is interesting too, because he rarely smiled in this film---I saw NO Rakish Smile, at all, when he did smile a tiny bit.
The Eye Of The Beholder....
Having said that, I think that many actors remain who they are in some ways, unless they totally disguise themselves with Beards and/or "character" teeth, or a Bald Pate thingy, or weight.....
Clark Gable was always 'Clark Gable', BUT, he could be moving and touch one's insides---as in "Gone With The Wind"---there are some incredinly moving scenes where as the character of "Rhett" he called on emotional reserves that one rarely connected to him, before that time....A performance that holds up today, as fresh and wonderful as it was in 1939!
For me, George Clooney is like Gable, in that way....
So...that's what makes Horse Racing, as they say....I do think he will win some more Awards before this "AWARDS SEASON" is over.....
