Staying out of trouble

I'm not supposed to lift over ten pounds for the six weeks of my recovery, so I've been reading quite a bit.  That's not enough for me though, so I'm teaching two hours per day (sitting on my butt lecturing), and trying hard not to start painting, repairing, or doing any home improvement projects.  I've found I need to keep my hands busy doing something.  So I've been stringing beads, making necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and a keychain.  I'm only three weeks into my six, I'm not sure how much longer I can last.  Maybe I'll start sculpting in clay . . . Hmmmm?

Maybe you can *plan* future improvement projects. It takes time, energy and thought - but no heavy physical lifting - and it will certainly feel useful.

It's also an ideal time to practice patience..... [grin]

Ha! I've been planning the painting/renovation of the outside of our house. M asked me to stop, because the longer I work on the plan, the more I add to it, and the more expensive it becomes. And I haven't even told her I'd been thinking about bumping out the attic and putting a whole new roof on. :-)

You have so much energy to give to these House projects---but, I hope you find a way to get through these weeks without harming yourself and/or going nuts!(lol) Have you considered watching the whole series of "HOUSE OF CARDS" through Netflix Streaming? That could be a couple of days worth.....I think the Jewelry you are making is wonderful! Maybe make a lot of Christmas presents....!
Good Luck! Only Three More Weeks To Go.....!

They are lovely jewelry. I agree with Oldlady of the hills. Would make great x-mas presents. have an idea for Jeff for x-mas but of course he is home most of the time and I need his approval to spend money. ok not his approval but we talk about our finances all the time together and I just dont spend with out asking.

I'm a Project Manager @ work and we get this all the time. It's why a lot of our Projects run over budget!

House of Cards is BRILLIANT. Of course I might think that but then I couldn't possibly comment! [grin]
