The Morning News

So two young burglars break into a man's barn and steal CDs. They discover child porn on the CDs. They turn themselves in, in order to report the child porn. The home owner is arrested. CNN story

Then there's the story of the stupid criminal who takes pictures of himself with a woman's stolen phone and the pictures are posted to her Facebook page. Smile for your mugshot buddy.

Hackers are still running amok around the country with their Zombie warning signs.

Speaking of zombies. I'm on the hunt for materials to make a new Halloween display for the house. Wait until you see it!

Hi CK, yeah, Halloween is our holiday. M isn't too happy about the new decorations because the real thing creeps her out. I can't wait to see how you do up Halloween over there. Is it a big holiday like here?

Hi Naomi, will you be able to get out and about to take pix of the decorations around you this year? I spent time on-line trying to find someone doing what I envisioned so I could get some pointers on how to build it. Let me tell you, you can find anything on-line. Sure enough, someone in Florida had the same idea as me and they'd already built their decorations and the post said how they were built. I'm so excited. I hope they turn out well.

Not so much. There has been an attempt to make it into something - mostly to make money from it - but it hasn't really taken off. It's probably too close to Bonfire Night/Guy Fawkes on Nov 5th which is 'celebrated' much more. We do get little bunches of kids wandering around and I do buy sweets for them but some years literally no one shows up.
