We had the t.v. going in the living room, another t.v. set up in the dining room and both rooms were packed to standing room only capacity. The cheers, screaming and dancing as the Packers won the Superbowl was a site to see. Unfortunately, I was screaming with everyone else and didn't think to film it. Special shouts out to all the family and friends who couldn't be with us who texted and called throughout the game. It was so much fun to know they were with us in spirit.
We started out the evening with a few decorations and food items on the table. Everyone was planning to bring something to eat, but M, as she usually does, worried that there wouldn't be enough food. She was afraid everyone would bring large appetites and we would run out of food, even though this has never happened. So even though she knew everyone was bringing something and we already laid out a bunch of food and ordered wings, she also ordered a large pizza at the last minute just in case.
By the time everyone arrived we had a dozen bags of various chips, guacamole dip, onion dip, veggie dip, crab dip, salsa, cheese dip, buffalo dip, plates of vegetables, fruits, breads, cold meats and cheeses, turkey chili, smoked venison, smoked chicken, pork, and beef, chicken wings, pizza, cakes, more than a dozen cases of sodas, beer, mixed drinks, chex mix, nuts, cornbread muffins, cupcakes, and I'm sure I'm leaving out other things, but as you can tell, the table was running over with food, as well as the counters in the kitchen.
This was a cake Jennifer brought unexpectedly. It was a tiramisu flavor and a big hit. It was a lot of fun having everyone over and great that M's Packer's won to make the night a bigger celebration, now time for all the clean up. :-)

Oh wow!!! What a party! What a feast!
Being canadian, I don't really understand the superbowl fascination, but I do understand that it exists!
I see how people plan events around it, and it's fascinating.
I never watched it, but I read online that X-TINA mucked up the words to the anthem... on the MOST WATCHED EVENT of the year. That is something she'll never be able to live down.
By the way , OMG your house is beautiful. I love LOVE the colours....sooo pretty.
And tell M, that I would have done the same thing with the pizza.... I get nervous whenever we entertain that there won't be enough food. Even though there always is. Nothing ruins a good time as fast as running out of food though :)

OH MY GOD!!! We went down town after the game and you should have felt the energy guys.. It was something amazing. People were honking there horns.. They were high fiving everyone in site.. Kora was getting in the spirit with it all we ended up having to go home.. I wish I could have gotten more on video.
M you would have loved to see all the packer jackets and just packer fans out in the streets.. If interested I have a video up on my Facebook page.. Its under Super Bowl 45 I believe.. The cars had to stop where they were because the crowd started standing in the streets. I turned around from taking video of the fireworks to show the crowd in the street.
Thanks Tweety. I'll let M know.
