It's 10:30 p.m. - Do you know where your dryer is?

Ours is sitting in our side yard smoking, after having an electrical fire when M tried to start it and smoking up our house. It sucks that this happened, but it's great that it happened while we were awake and at home. Life goes on...

Yep - at least you were home. Those appliance fires can lead to disaster. Ours was the GE dishwasher which led to a $15,000 dry cleaning bill.
And my EX husband had let the insurance lapse.
Long sad tale.
Glad all y'all are okay, if broke.

Yeah, we had one of those GE dishwashers. If I remember correctly, there was faulty wiring in the heating element. We just used air dry because we didn't want to mess with the recall. I am still so paranoid about it that on our current dishwasher, I don't use the heat dry option. You just never know.

Glad you were home. It could have been, a whole different outcome. So now you get a new dryer. If you find one that folds and hangs let me know :) Have a great weekend.

Yeah, yippee, a new dryer, which costs money like everything else and is coming right as I need to come up with thousands of dollars for B's college tuition. It never ends, does it?

Maybe you could resort to the line and pully method, I had to use it last year for about 6 months. It does still work, just need to remember to get everything down before the next outdoor washing comes.

I've never had much luck with the birds and the clothesline. They were especially fond of soiling sheets, as dramatically and completely as possible.

You're my 2nd friend in a month who has had a dryer fire! Now you have a very respectable redneck yard. ;D

Beware....appliances die in threes.

What a nightmare that COULD have been....So glad you were home when that happened.

I tried to comment on the post above and I wasn't able to....I don't know if Blogger/Google is having problems or what...
But....I said, about Anne Rice:
GOOD FOR HER! And what you said, too....it is the people that warp the message, not Christ---in fact, I find the behavior of "the church" for UN-Christ-Like....!
