Okay, the 1960s New Year's Eve Party went well. I actually stayed up waaaayyyyyy past my bedtime. We left the party before 1 and didn't get to bed until around 2. Oy! The hostess had cocktails, wine, punch, and champagne, plus hors d'oeuvres. I could take the time to show you a picture of each item of food, but I know what you're really here for, the costumes! Keep in mind that the vast majority of people attending were college professors, so they were naturally stuck in the Beatnik genre. But I thought people made a valiant effort to turn back the clock, especially those of us who either have no conscious memories of the 60s (too young or too stoned) and those who weren't even born yet. So, take a look at the berets, the animal prints, the bobbed hair wig and yes, even my baby bouffant. We had a great time!

Great pics! Glad you had a great time...

ooks like people had fun "dressing up"....it does look more like a French Movie to me than anything else...lol...All the Berets, I guess....!
Sounds and looks like a total scream!
Looks like fun!
I would've had to go with the late '60s look...bell bottoms, love beads, head-band, and my faithful old moccasins. Yes, I actually have a stash of that stuff stored away. ;)
Thanks all, we did have fun. M was originally toying with the idea of going either as a NASA nerd or a James Dean _Rebel without a Cause_ look. How everyone settled on the Beatnik and berets' thing is beyond me. The 60s hippy, tie-dyed thing would have been great too.
That looks awsome. Glad you had a splendid time. I had to work and it was sort of busy.. But rather enjoyed myself since we dont go out anyway.
